Ashes of Autumn "The Darker Side Of Now" Album Launch
ASHES OF AUTUMN – THE DARKER SIDE OF NOW
In August 2026, Ashes of Autumn signed with Golden Robot Records, marking an exciting new chapter as the band prepares to bring The Darker Side of Now to audiences around the world.
The partnership combines Ashes of Autumn’s creative vision with Golden Robot Records’ global reach, industry experience and artist development, creating new opportunities while allowing the band to remain true to the identity, authenticity and creative direction at the heart of their music.
The Darker Side of Now is Ashes of Autumn’s most ambitious, vulnerable and deeply personal work to date.
Across the album, the band explores some of the more difficult and complicated parts of being human — trauma, loss, mental health, fear and connection, and the ways these experiences can continue to shape us long after the moment itself has passed.
Rather than offering easy answers or neatly resolving those experiences, The Darker Side of Now allows them to exist as they are: raw, complex, deeply personal and undeniably human.
The record brings together an exceptional international team, featuring renowned Swedish guitarist and producer Tommy Denander (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires, Toto), with mixing by Matt Dougherty (Disturbed, Sevendust, Staind) and mastering by Elliot James Mulhern (Matchbox Twenty, Hey Monday, Fall Out Boy).
At its core, The Darker Side of Now is about connection — turning deeply personal experiences into music in the hope that somewhere within these songs, someone else might recognise something of themselves.
And that brings us to our fundraiser for R U OK? Australia.
WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
This fundraiser is deeply personal to Ashes of Autumn.
Mel knows firsthand the devastating reality of suicide. She lost her brother to suicide and experienced the fear, helplessness and heartbreak of trying to save someone she loved while he was in his darkest place.
That kind of loss never leaves you.
We’re using our music to help make a difference.
100% of the money Ashes of Autumn receives from our ticket sales and merchandise will be donated to R U OK? Australia.
Around 9 Australians die by suicide every day. Behind every one of those deaths are families, friends and loved ones left to carry an unimaginable loss.
We want to help change those numbers and support R U OK?’s work to encourage people to connect, check in and have the conversations that could save a life.
Come to the show. Grab some merch. Share this message. And come make some noise with us for a cause that means so much.

THE DARKER SIDE OF NOW WILL BE RELEASED WORLDWIDE THROUGH GOLDEN ROBOT RECORDS ON 9 OCTOBER 2026.
The band has invited some close friends and local talents to join them on stage:
DANNY PASH
Danny has been around the Perth music scene for many decades. He is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, multi-genre, emotional, spiritual, political muthafukka.
He is rock with occasional injections of funk, combining spiritual and political depth and passion. He is a born entertainer and will be opening the night with an acoustic set, so make sure you get down when the doors open!
AMMIFY
Born from the creative fusion of vocalist Ammy Phoenix and filmmaker-musician Peter Renzullo, Ammify emerged from Perth, Western Australia, with a sound as bold as it is cinematic. Their unique blend of dark melodic intensity and heavy, immersive production — aptly named Cine Metal — sets them apart in the global rock scene.
Their 2024 debut album LOST, NOT HIDING launched Ammify into the spotlight, earning Album of the Year from Metal Pedia and Best Heavy Album from Progressive Rock Central. With five visually stunning, self-produced music videos, Ammify fuse film, art and emotion into a seamless creative force.
Driven by themes of mental health and self-empowerment, Ammify’s music resonates with listeners seeking authenticity and strength.
Having recently returned from performing in Europe, including the annual Bucovina Motor Fest in Romania, Ammify have set out to make themselves known on the world stage by touring intensively internationally over the next few years, set on establishing a following that reaches audiences from all corners of the Earth.
Currently crafting their second album and feature film Sunny, Ammify continue to redefine what modern metal can be.
