Join Cecilia West as she journeys through the complexities of resilience and how it has guided her to be where she is today. Cecilia’s delicate tone melds between folk and soul, influenced by artists like Taylor Swift, Yebba, Florence and The Machine, Adele, and Emeli Sande. As well as Classic Rock and 80s Pop bands like Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Eurythmics and Cold Chisel. Cecilia’s passion for music began at a young age, growing up in a household surrounded by music she began voice lessons at age 11. She has always grabbed any opportunity to gain performance experience, whether it be on a big stage or at a small venue. Accompanied by her incredible band, Cecilia can’t wait to take you on a reflective and empowering journey that will reconnect you to your resilience and remind you that hard times can make beautiful diamonds.
Madelyn Marsh - 7:05pm
Madelyn Marsh is an energetic, fun loving, versatile performer ranging from covering artist’s such as Sade, Kate Miller-Heidke, Christina Aguilera, and genres including Jazz through to Music Theatre. With her big voice, she is able to capture the essence of any song, whether it be belting her heart out, or hearing a pin drop as she gently sings you a lullaby. Her passion for music led her to move from her small country town to Perth, grabbing any opportunity to perform that is thrown at her including on stage and on film. Developing her artistry over the past 4 years at WAAPA, Maddy has enjoyed writing and recording original tunes including heartache ballads and 80’s inspired dance songs. With her amazing band behind her, Maddy’s passion and love for the stage will shine through every note she sings, leaving you wanting more.
Augustin De la Fuente - 8:10pm
Welcome to Agustin De la Fuente’s recital. Here, you will be enveloped in an unforgettable symphony of heart and soul, where the extravagant sounds of his personal influences will wrap around you like a warm, loving embrace. He is a composer and producer, who has embraced the electric guitar as his voice, and in a celebration of artistry and camaraderie, Gus, has curated a memorable collection of original works alongside arrangements of his most cherished songs. For this special event, he has gathered a circle of his dearest friends and colleagues, most of whom he has had the pleasure of meeting along his WAAPA journey.
Luka Humich - 9:15pm
Join Luka Humich for his WAAPA Graduation Recital. Luka is a dynamic drummer who has been learning drums since the age of 11. Known for his punchy, groovy style, Luka draws inspiration from drumming legends such as Aaron Sterling, Gary Novak, Jost Nickel, and Ric Eastman. Over the years, Luka has crafted a unique sound that embraces multiple genres, delivering a diverse recital featuring everything from the complexity of prog metal to the subtle sophistication of smooth jazz. This performance will showcase his versatility, technical skill, and creative musicality. Join us for an evening of eccentric wacky tunes and celebrate this milestone in Luka’s musical journey!
